Duties and
Responsibilities:
Psychologist study the behavior of
people to understand their way of living and to possibly explain and change
their behavioral patterns. They also provide counseling and therapy to those
who have emotional, learning, and behavior problems. They can work in schools,
hospitals, and even have private practice. Their duties often include:

Diagnosing
and treating problems

Interviewing
and observing patients
·
Developing,
selecting, and administering tests
·
Counseling
patients, groups, and families
·
Developing
mental health programs
·
Conducting
research and teaching
Average
Salary: $45,000 - $65,000
Educational
Requirements:
Students should take the most challenging
courses in HS which include AP and IB classes, especially those that focus in
on English and Mathematics
A licensed psychologist must earn a
PH.D in psychology. Admission to graduate programs is usually dependent on the
quality of undergraduate performance in a psychology major. Clinical
psychologists must complete a two-year supervised internship after earning
their doctorate and pass oral and written state exams.
Those who wish to work in a school
must earn at least a master’s degree in psychology.
I was
interested in becoming a psychologist before because it if very interesting to
know more about human behavior.
