"You can't hire someone else to do your push-ups for you."
- Jim Rohn

Reflection: When you need to do something, you can make someone else do it for you. Just like you can't make someone work out for you so that you can be healthier and have a better body. You need to get up and go do some push-ups and run and jump and lift in order to become healthier and have a nice body. It may be difficult and take some time but be patient and have the willpower to succeed in your attempt to complete your goals.

"I will persist until I succeed"
- OG Mandino

Reflection: Whenever I see that I mess up in a song, I practice solely that part of the song. I practice and practice and practice until I I get it right and I know once I get that piece right the song in its entirety sounds so much better. When I practice my shots in basketball, I do not finish practicing unless I have made 10 free throw in a row. I miss just one then I start all over from zero.

SSS #52

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundeness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity then the body is healthy and strong."
- John F. Kennedy

Reflection: Kobe Bryant would not be able to be the great and amazing player he is today if he did not take care of his body. He exercises everyday to help him maintain his shape. He wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to be one of the greatest players to have ever lived and become so intelligent of the game if he didn't spend so much time into his body. It keeps his mind at ease and his hard work in fitness pays off in the court when he reads the defense and is able to determine which is the best spot to take a shot from or if he should pass the ball.

SSS #46

"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
- Charles Ketterer

Reflection: One should not think about what they think they will do. They should have to act upon it to make it into a reality. When one thinks about just having a good life or becoming an athlete they are not creating their future. All they are doing is simply just trying to see what may lie ahead of them. They should be practicing and working out each day and never stop. Many professional athletes today practice even though they are professionals. Why? Because they want to improve their skills. There is never a good enough because there will always be someone pushing harder to become better and better. They are not wasting their time by believing they are good enough and that they do not need to improve.

Glenn Cunningham

This is a man who had his legs injured to later become one of the world's best and fastest runners. He set the world record for bothe the outdoor and indoor mile each was a completed in 4 minutes. He was determined since he was injured to regain the strength in his legs an surpass the expectations set upon him by the doctors.
What I have learned is to exceed what people expect you to do. That is the way to show how truly different you are from the rest.

Student Success Statement #34

"Together Everyone Achieves More"
- ANON

Reflection: In a basketball game, there may be one person on the team that is good, but they will not win if they do not have a team that would help him. Without a team there would be no assistance to be able to do everything 100%. You would be left in ruins if you think you can beat 5 people at basketball when you don't have a team.
